About Me

Hi everyone! I know I have an outdated blurb about me on the side of the page but I thought you might want to know more. I got married in 2012 to David. In January of 2014, we had a beautiful baby girl. I don't post pictures of her or her name for privacy reasons but trust me, she is adorable!

I am constantly looking for ways to save money or time, while still enjoying life. These days, my life mostly consists of cooking, cleaning, baking, and taking care of our daughter but when I get the free time I like to knit, sew, read, and look for new ideas on Pinterest. With my knitting and sewing, I am still a beginner so I get a lot of help from my mother in law. She loves to quilt and knit and has been doing so for decades.

Our house is in a constant state of remodel. David's parents had bought it about 6 years ago to fix up and sell but they ended up having to do a lot more work than they initially thought (like tearing down the walls, redoing the electrical and plumbing, and then putting it all back together). We bought it two years ago from them but they still work on it whenever they get the chance (most Saturdays and the summertime). When we got it, it had a kitchen sink, a bathroom, a bedroom, and our loft area finished. We were in tight quarters for a while but things have slowly been getting done. Throughout the blog, you can see when a new room gets finished. Now, we don't have that many rooms left (just the foyer, laundry room, and stairs/hallway) but we have other things to work on like our back deck, basement, driveway, etc. It has been stressful living here and at times, quite quite quite dirty but we've worked (and lived!) through it.
